SFL Interactive Online Course, Level 1
This is the live seminar, taught online. Eight interactive sessions across four full days, each session four and a half hours long and built as two lessons with a half hour break between them. Yakov teaches, you repeat the movements at your screen, and he corrects you.
What is taught
Two complementary techniques are explained and practised together.
The sculptural technique is the first part of the procedure: thorough work on the face, the neck and the decolletage, sculpting each group of mimic and chewing muscles from the outside.
The intraoral technique is the second part. It works the mimic and chewing muscles along their full extent, from one point of attachment to the other, from inside the mouth. It reaches the areas that cannot be worked from outside, releases deep muscular spasm and has an indirect effect on the facial bones and on the breathing of the skull.

Common questions
Do I need a model?
Yes. You do not need one for the first lesson of session one and session two, which are presentation and theory, and you need a model for the rest.
Do I need the same model throughout?
No. You can practise on different people, as long as each of them is eighteen or older. You cannot practise on minors.
Can I skip a session?
It is not recommended. If life makes it unavoidable, you practise at home with the recording of that class and show your work to the master at the next lesson.
Is it suitable for beginners?
No. The course is for professionals: cosmetologists, beauty and massage therapists, medical professionals. It takes existing skills to the next level, it does not qualify you for a new profession.
